Vaginal Tightening
Vaginal tightening occurs following a reduction in the production of oestrogen by the ovaries. This generally occurs during peri-menopause/ menopause female cycle. The wall of the vagina starts to thin and becomes less moist with increase in sensitivity. Symptoms such as vaginal drying, itching, painful intercourse, poor lubrication, decrease libido and poor tone are some of the frequent concerns. This menopause treatment is highly effective for replenishing or rejuvenating the vagina and is suitable for younger women who experience the same symptoms.
Vaginal Relaxation Syndrome
Vaginal relaxation syndrome is a loss of tone in the vaginal wall, this can be caused by vaginal deliveries or with natural ageing. VRS can show as decrease feeling in friction and loss of sexual satisfaction.
Stress Urinary Incontinence
Stress urinary incontinence or light bladder leakage is caused by a loss of support to the urethra. Urinary incontinence frequently occurs in women for many reasons such as decreased tone in the pelvic floor, trauma from previous vaginal deliveries or high impact sports. Women with stress incontinence may have decreased collagen production, which may result in reduced support to the urogenital tract.
Innovations in laser technologies have produced a unique menopause treatment for the restoration of the metabolism of connective tissue, which is painless, no-invasive and non-surgical.
The Juliet Laser
The Juliet laser is a YAG laser that emits infrared light pulses, which does not hurt or damage the skin allowing for a precise and effective treatment reaching the deeper layers of the mucosa without injury to the surrounding tissues. The laser treatment is quick and effective and takes no longer than 20-30 minutes with no pre-or post treatment required.
The goal of the Juliet laser treatment is to restore the original metabolism of the connective tissue and improve the state of the mucosa, by stimulating a process known as neocollagenesis (or collagen restoration and growth).
The benefits of this non-surgical approach are that many of the surgery-related costs are avoided and this therefore reduces the cost of treatment and makes the process convenient with a simple half hour appointment in our Gold Coast office. There is no recovery time needed apart from avoiding sexual activity for 72 hours. Generally, only one treatment session is required to achieve results.
